IDEATEC and KNDS have joined forces on a major installation project, boosting industrial capabilities in the defense sector.

In November 2024, IDEATEC completed a key project at the KNDS site in La Chapelle-Saint-Ursin, near Bourges. Commissioned in January 2024, this installation further strengthens the role of IDEATEC, member of the Rouby Group, as a major player in delivering complex industrial solutions.
Over the course of three weeks, a dedicated technical team handled every phase of the project: unloading, installation, mechanical and electrical connections, integration with existing systems, commissioning, and training for KNDS staff.
At the heart of this project: two automated shell distribution units designed to supply a machining center and a 6-axis robotic arm, a cutting-edge equipment perfectly tailored to KNDS’s needs.
KNDS, which specializes in the production of tank ammunition, artillery systems, and medium-caliber munitions, benefited from customized support to optimize shell handling and ensure airtight sealing.
